“To see the world, things dangerous to come to, to see behind walls, draw closer, to find each other, and to feel. That is the purpose of life.”

House Quidditch

House Quidditch is our organization’s intramural program. Within it, are two teams: Slytherdor (combination of Slytherin and Gryffindor) and Ravenpuff (combination of Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff). Both of these teams practice together each week, focusing on developing skills and having fun. For a little team competitiveness, there are house matches where the two teams face off against one another. These generally happen once a month or so. One of the main focuses of our house quidditch program is just developing friendships and camaraderie amongst teammates and peers. This is done through a lot of our socials and activities: game nights, house hunting, team dinners, etc. This program is meant for those who just enjoy quidditch, want to develop their skills, and for those who want to meet people and have an excuse to hang out with them every week. It is open to everyone and has less commitment than a traveling team (although a lot of traveling players participate in our house program as well).

2023-2024 Captains

Katya Lopez

Hi y’all! My name is Katya and I am a junior studying Acting with a double minor in Arts Management & Administration and Media and Entertainment Industries from Austin, TX. I am a Gryffindor and I have a yearly tradition where I re-read the entire Harry Potter series the week before school starts. I love to support all of my friends on the traveling team by watching them at their tournaments. I have really enjoyed being a part of Quidditch because I have gotten to make some really cool friends I wouldn’t have been able to make in my really small major. I am excited to be your captain this year and I am looking forward to this semester!

Rebeka Papanikolaou

Hi everybody! My name is Rebeka and I’m a beater for the Texas traveling team :) I joined quidditch because I am a HUGE Potterhead, but kept playing because I found my new family. I have been involved with quidditch since my freshman year, and joining this team was easily the best decision I’ve made, ever. Outside of quidditch, I work on research projects in psychology labs at UT, and enjoy Greek dancing, painting, chasing sunsets, reading as many books as I can, and singing everyone’s ear off in karaoke.
